But when government power is used to terrorize rather than protect — to divide rather than serve — democracy itself is in danger. He's sowing fear and sending armed troops onto our streets in cities like Chicago and Los Angeles, kidnapping law-abiding immigrants and tearing families apart under the guise of "law and order." The result? Children are afraid to leave for school, parents are afraid to show up to work, and people who've called this country home for decades are wondering if they still belong.
