Pamela,
We have some exciting news to share: On Sunday, Sept. 21, where groups around the country will be celebrating the power of the sun and solar power, on Sun Day. Right now, our country is at a crossroads in our energy future. For many years, our nation was the world's leader in clean energy innovation.
But now, the current administration's actions threaten to undermine the progress that has made energy more affordable, created hundreds of thousands of jobs, and strengthened our economic competitiveness.
The United States has all the technology we need to make solar power more accessible – not only for economic prosperity, but for a healthier future. Clean energy, like solar, are now considered the cheapest forms of energy available. And with rising energy costs across the country, we need to lean into solar energy even more.
In the last six months, China has built more solar panels than we have ever. But it's not too late to catch up. Cities and towns across the country are already seeing the benefits of these solar policies. But even more of us can reap the benefits if our local governments lean into this progress.
That's why on Sept. 21, we want to celebrate solar power and all that it does – and can do – for us. Save your spot in the sun now.
See you there!
