Dear Pamela, Last week, the Trump administration moved forward with its plan to end collective bargaining with federal unions across several agencies. So far, hundreds of thousands of workers at agencies including the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of Homeland Security have been robbed of their collective bargaining rights. Most of these workers are represented by the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the largest union of federal workers in the country. In response to this assault on workers' rights, AFGE members are gearing up for the fight of a lifetime. This attack on federal workers is an attack on all of us, and this moment requires all of us to stand together to protect our democracy, our nation, and each other.
