Pamela,
As we celebrate the Fourth of July and reflect on the freedoms that define our democracy, here's an important reminder for Florida voters:
All vote-by-mail requests in Florida expired on December 31, 2024. That means if you want to vote by mail in the 2025-2026 elections, you must submit a new request, even if you've voted by mail in the past. So while you're celebrating this weekend, take a moment to protect your freedom to vote.
Visit this page to select your county and request your mail ballot today>>
Municipal elections are right around the corner, and time is running out! The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed to you is 12 days before Election Day, which can vary by county. To avoid missing out, re-request your vote-by-mail ballot now.
This change is due to Florida's 2021 election law (SB 90), which required all vote-by-mail requests to expire after every federal general election cycle. Even if you previously selected "All Elections" on your vote-by-mail request. Under this law, all vote-by-mail requests expire at the end of every even-numbered year.
To make sure you're able to vote by mail in upcoming elections, you must submit a new request.
Requesting your vote-by-mail ballot is quick and easy. Here is how to do it:
First, make sure you're registered to vote in Florida!
Then, request your vote-by-mail ballot using one of these simple methods:
Online: Submit your request on your county Supervisor of Elections' website.
By Phone: Call your county Supervisor of Elections office and request your vote-by-mail ballot.
In Writing: Email, fax, or mail a completed vote-by-mail request form to your Supervisor of Elections.
In Person: Visit your county Supervisor of Elections office to make your request.
What You'll Need to Provide:
Voting by mail is a convenient and secure way to ensure your voice is heard, especially during busy municipal election seasons. But many Floridians may not realize they need to renew their requests. Please help spread the word by sharing this message with friends, family, and neighbors over the weekend!
Don't wait until it's too late! Visit your county Supervisor of Elections website, call their office, or stop by in person today to renew your vote-by-mail request and stay ready to vote in Florida's 2025-2026 elections.
Thank you for taking action,
Franceska Edouard, Florida Organizer
