| Petition to Congress: We urge you to call for an end to the White House's politically motivated attacks on Harvard's federal funding and international students. Democracy and the rule of law is on the line. |
Trump's attempt to strip funding from Harvard and bar international students from the university is a transparent political attack against immigrants and an institution that isn't giving in to the White House's every request.
The Trump administration is using vague, spurious allegations of discrimination to justify pulling funding and blocking student visa interviews. But it's Trump who's discriminating and persecuting political enemies and immigrants. This move against Harvard is another front in his attempted authoritarian takeover.
A judge has already ruled against the White House's order to block Harvard's enrollment of international students, but Trump has been defying court orders throughout his term. Our elected leaders need to take a clear stand against this multi-pronged attack on democracy.
Sign the petition: Stop Trump's political attacks on Harvard, judges, immigrants, and all of the people and institutions who refuse to give in to his authoritarianism!
Trump ranted on Truth Social that international students enrolling at Harvard were from unfriendly countries and demanded personal information about these students. This is the kind of extreme, illegal, right-wing directive that's characterized the Trump White House.
It is also another fight that pits Trump against the judiciary. Will Trump listen to the courts, who've stepped in to protect international students, or try to plow ahead and erode the rule of law even further?
Sign the petition: Too many in Congress have not spoken and acted with the clarity that our democracy needs right now. Urge Congress to call for an end to Trump's attacks!
