You read that right: these insurrectionists, who were convicted by a jury of their peers after trying to overthrow our democracy, are now claiming that they are the victims and are suing the Department of Justice (DOJ).1 They're hoping that President Donald Trump—who called January 6 a "day of love"2—and his loyalists will hand them millions of our tax dollars to spread more chaos, more violence, and more hate.
