Red alert: WWW under attack!

Our work makes us a target, but we won't be silenced. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

There’s no easy way to say this, Pamela: Win Without War is under attack.

Over the past few months, we’ve faced a series of significant attempts to compromise our digital infrastructure and shut us down.

Security experts have confirmed that these attacks have not penetrated our secure network or accessed any personal information. However, DDOS attacks originating from Ireland, Singapore, the UAE, and beyond have successfully taken down our website no less than a DOZEN times this year — and the attacks keep coming.

Our staff is on edge, scrambling to strengthen our security and continue our critical campaigns to rein in DOGE, protect immigrant communities, and defend against the worst the Trump administration is throwing at us.

We already spend thousands each year to maintain our digital infrastructure, and now we’ll have to triple that, basically overnight. An increase like this was not in our budget, but we’re ready to do whatever is necessary to protect all of us and keep up our critical work.

Pamela, after speaking with our cybersecurity consultants, the next steps are clear: We must rapidly scale up our security so that NO attack can take us down or silence us again.

We're working to quickly raise $40,000 to create a security fund that can help defend our infrastructure from these — and ANY — attacks. So far, we're just ⅓ of the way there. Could you chip in to help us close the gap?

Attackers are flooding our site with traffic, causing it to crash and ensuring we can't communicate with all of you. In April alone, our security system blocked 108,311 attacks, including hundreds of "brute force" attempts where hackers' access to our website's admin was blocked.

Security experts tell us that these are major DDOS service cyberattacks from IPs registered across the globe — and they're not just continuing, they're also getting more sophisticated by the day.

It's not just attacks on our website that our team is racing to confront. Trump recently sicced the Department of Justice on ActBlue, the grassroots fundraising platform Win Without War — like thousands of other civil society groups — uses to fund our work.[1] Donating via ActBlue remains a secure way to fuel our work, and millions of people are still using the platform to power the causes they believe in. It's a huge part of how we can keep organizing, resisting, and building a better future.

Trump's decision marked a new escalation in his administration's attacks on the backbone of progressive organizations and infrastructure, but Win Without War has never shied away from a fight when our values are on the line.

Our team is in an all-out sprint to respond, while following every security protocol to the letter to protect our work and your information. The costs of doing this right will add up quickly and the simple truth is that has consequences for our work — particularly as our small team is already in a 24/7 effort to stand up to Trump.

Unfortunately, our impactful work makes us a target. By targeting our digital infrastructure, these groups are trying to cut off our ability to educate and mobilize tens of thousands of activists every single week.

But, Pamela, we refuse to be silenced — and we couldn’t take a bold stance like this without activists like you backing us up. Thank you for all you do for this work, for our organization, and to build a safer, more peaceful world.

Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
