The latest attack comes in the form of the SAVE Act, which would require all eligible voters to show their passport or birth certificate before casting their vote.Here's the problem:Nearly half of Americans don't have a passport, and many more do not have immediate access to their birth certificate. And while men go through their lives without changing their names, many married women have a different legal name than what's on their birth certificate, meaning that a constituency that is turning against Republicans will have an extra hurdle in order to vote. This will have disastrous effects on millions of eligible voters, especially women, the elderly, and those living in under-resourced areas.
