They’re trying to silence Win Without War

Cybercriminals are trying to shut us down, and we need your help.  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

There’s no easy way to say this, Pamela: Win Without War is under attack.

In the past month, we’ve faced a series of significant attempts from cybercriminals trying to compromise our digital infrastructure and shut us down — and over the weekend, it happened again.

Security experts have confirmed that these cyber criminals have not been able to penetrate our secure network or access any personal information. However, DDOS attacks originating from Russia, China, and beyond have successfully taken down our website TEN separate times, and they just keep coming.

Our staff is on edge, scrambling to strengthen our security and continue our critical campaigns to rein in DOGE, protect immigrant communities, and defend against the worst the Trump administration is throwing at us. After speaking with our cybersecurity consultants, the next steps are clear: we must rapidly scale up our security so that no attack can take us down and silence us again.

We already spend thousands each year to maintain our digital infrastructure, and now we’re going to have to triple that, basically overnight. We’re ready to do whatever is necessary to protect ourselves, but an increase like this was not in our budget.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:

Security experts tell us that these are major DDOS service cyberattacks — and they’re picking up speed, getting more sophisticated by the day. Attackers are flooding our site with traffic, causing it to crash and ensuring that we can’t communicate with all of you. One day last month our website saw 1,000 times our typical traffic before it went dark.

While we don’t know exactly who is behind it, the list of candidates is long. Win Without War has never backed away from taking some of the world's worst actors head-on, in ways that genuinely hurt them — whether that’s weapons lobbyists, world leaders, or the U.S. government.

What we do know is that their goal is to silence us. By targeting our digital infrastructure, these cybercriminals are cutting off our ability to educate and mobilize tens of thousands of activists every single week.

Our team is in an all out sprint to respond, following every single security protocol to the letter to protect our work. But we also need to urgently hire top technologists to reinforce our systems and build industrial-scale security to be able to withstand future attacks.

Doing this right will add up quickly and the truth is we just don’t have the budget —- particularly right now when our small team is already working 24/7 to stand up to Trump.

Thank you for working for peace,

The Win Without War team
