Pamela,
When an elected representative stands up for Florida voters, it's important to show our appreciation and encourage others to follow their lead.
Your representative, Senator Tina Polsky, has been standing up for voters this legislative session.
At the start of session, Senator Polsky introduced the Disaster-Affected Voter Bill of Rights, SB 1486—a bill that ensures no voter is disenfranchised simply because of a natural disaster.
And yesterday in the Senate Ethics & Elections Committee, Senator Polsky spoke out strongly to defend the citizen-led amendment process that enables Florida voters to directly pass policies that improve our lives and strengthen our communities.
Can you take a moment to write Senator Polsky and thank her for standing up for Florida voters?
When disaster strikes, Floridians shouldn't have to ever choose between recovery and casting their ballot.
The Disaster-Affected Voter Bill of Rights ensures that every voter impacted by a disaster has the same support and opportunities to cast their ballot—no matter what affected county they live in.
This bill provides critical accommodations for displaced and affected voters—giving them more information, more in-person voting options, and more options for receiving and returning their vote-by-mail ballots. It also ensures election offices have the resources and flexibility needed to help voters in emergencies.
Let's make sure Senator Polsky knows that we appreciate her leadership! Take a moment to send her a quick thank you email for standing up for Florida voter
Her leadership is helping protect our fundamental rights. Let's show our appreciation and encourage more lawmakers to follow her lead!
Thank you for standing up for our rights.
