Congress must use this government funding fight to STOP Elon Musk's hostile takeover.

Our Constitution is clear: Congress controls the "power of the purse" and how our tax dollars are spent – not the president, and certainly not an unelected, unconfirmed billionaire like Elon Musk. Comply with oversight and transparency rules to keep Americans aware of their actions – like subpoenas, investigations, and appearances at hearings. Any members of Congress who support a funding deal without these safeguards are effectively giving Musk the green light to continue his slash and burn campaign.   Musk's campaign against crucial public services is yet another scheme to enrich donors at the expense of hardworking everyday Americans.   We all pay the price when an unelected billionaire is allowed to fire federal workers and gut the healthcare, food assistance, and education programs that millions of Americans rely on.
