Let's cut to the chase.

President Trump and Elon Musk just announced massive cuts to lifesaving medical research funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).¹ Trump promised voters he would lower costs and keep them safer; instead, he's already killing jobs and risking countless lives.

Millions of Americans benefit from cures and treatments funded by the agency—from radiation therapies to Alzheimer's research, medicines, and preventive strategies for diabetes, strokes, and arthritis. 

In fact, NIH is the world's largest funder of cancer research.²

Will you sign the petition to tell Congress we will NOT just sit here when it comes to saving critical funding that saves lives? There are real-life consequences for patients, families, and communities because of Trump's callous and chaotic leadership.

 Congress is responsible for holding Trump and the executive branch in check. Tell Congress: BLOCK Trump and Musk from continuing with these cuts!

NIH research grants have made it possible to extend countless lives, notably reduce cancer development, and save lives in the process. NIH-funded research was essential for the first artificial heart valves and CT scans; breakthrough gene therapy; developing new ways to prevent, diagnose, treat, and manage infectious diseases including the flu, Lyme, and hepatitis; and treating chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis.³ 

Sign the petition and tell Congress: Curing cancer is not a partisan issue. Patients, families, and communities need Congress to stop playing politics with our lives. 

Just a couple of days ago, a federal judge issued a restraining order against the Trump Administration from proceeding with these devastating cuts.⁴ However, we can't let this battle just be fought in the courts.

Our lawmakers need to hear from us that these cuts will be detrimental to the health and safety of Americans everywhere, and to countries that rely on our ground-breaking research to develop more cures and treatments. Congressional Republicans especially need to send the message to Trump that their constituents' lives are at stake and fight back publicly.
