Because Republicans are spineless, they'll likely confirm RFK Jr. anyway. But Dr. Oz, Trump's pick to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (which is a part of HHS) sure knows what Medicare does―and he's got a financial interest in seeing it privatized. Dr. Oz not only has a long history of peddling dubious weight-loss schemes and other types of quack medicine, he also stands to financially benefit from an expansion of Medicare Advantage due to owning $600,000 worth of stock in two of the largest Medicare Advantage providers (UnitedHealth Group and CVS/Aetna).
