Democracy is for people, not corporations.

If we're serious about making change, then this is where we start.

Pamela, We need to be honest about power in this country — who has it and who doesn't. In the 2024 election, 150 billionaire families poured over $1.9 billion into key elections. All of it was completely legal. Right now, billionaires and corporations have the power, while working people and our families do not. Even when a majority of Americans support our progressive priorities — from raising wages to providing health care for all — these majorities rarely turn into legislative action. Despite having the people, we don't have the power. It hasn't always been like this. And it doesn't have to be like this. Since the disastrous Citizens United ruling, there are two sets of rules in our democracy — one for wealthy mega-donors and another for working people. That's why I'm leading the fight to rewrite the rules and restore the promise of a democracy by the people, for the people. If we're serious about making real, meaningful changes in people's lives — this is where we start. We need to show Democrats that the path back to the majority is not funded by billionaires and corporate donors.
