| Pamela, World leaders and climate activists just came together for one of the biggest climate gatherings of the year in New York City. And in just a few months, they will be meeting again in Azerbaijan for this year's COP29 UN climate talks. But before they meet, we need to make sure these world leaders hear our climate movement's demands to set the bold climate goals we need: Pamela, can you sign our open letter now and demand they commit to ambitious climate goals? This past summer was the hottest ever recorded in North America and Europe, while East Africa and Latin America faced some of the worst floods in history. With COP29 coming up, national leaders must take strong action to fight the climate crisis. The first step is for them to set bold climate goals this week. From phasing out fossil fuels to providing equitable financial support to vulnerable communities, we need leaders to commit to these demands now. This Open Letter is signed by several major climate organizations, and will be delivered to every single head of state that is part of the United Nations. But Pamela, we need your signature so we can show the people power behind our demands. Can you sign the open letter now? Thank you, Sonia for 350.org |
