Dear MoveOn member,
Or, if you can't chip in monthly, click here.
After weeks of uncertainty, fear, and speculation, President Joe Biden has made the courageous and patriotic decision to step aside as the Democratic nominee, and we thank him for his unwavering dedication to protecting our country and our democracy. In his announcement, he said, "It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term."1
President Biden's legacy is one for the history books. In his time in office, and while facing some of the most extreme right-wing opposition in recent years, he signed into law the largest investment in combating climate change in American history. He has forgiven nearly $8 billion in student debt. He passed the first significant gun safety legislation in 30 years. He ensured that, for the first time, Medicare can negotiate prices with drug companies.
President Biden served as the vice president for America's first Black president, nominated the first Black woman to sit on the Supreme Court, chose a Black and South Asian woman to become our first female vice president, and will now help that same woman become our first female president.
We are deeply grateful for all of his work and thank him for his more than 50 years of service to our nation.
With just four months left until Election Day, we cannot wait a single moment to get started in supporting Vice President Harris's campaign and ensuring that voters turn out in droves to send her to the White House.
Will you help us send a message to the media, MAGA, and the world that we are united in our support for Vice President Harris by donating $5 a month, starting right now? Your ongoing support will power MoveOn's efforts to elect Kamala Harris this November.
No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
MoveOn has been going full speed ahead on our election campaign for months, and the only changes we have planned are to expand our efforts if MoveOn members are energized and ready to do the work with us.
Our team has identified more than 1 million surge voters—young voters and those who became more active after 2016—across key swing states and districts, and we have been laser-focused on ensuring those voters cast their ballots in November.
We've invested heavily in targeted social media ads that have been rigorously tested and proven to be effective at persuading surge voters. We are working with MoveOn members and volunteers to record personal, heartfelt video ads that counter the lies being spread on the right and are proven to effectively break through and resonate with voters.
We ran a similar program during the 2018 midterm elections that succeeded in turning out tens of thousands of voters who otherwise would have stayed home—and in a race that may to be decided on the margins again this year, that could very well be the difference between winning and losing.
And we are recruiting a cadre of social media influencers who have built-in audiences of surge voters to counteract Republican disinformation by spreading the word to their followers on platforms like TikTok about MAGA's authoritarian Project 2025 takeover plan, abortion rights, climate, and so much more. We know that, with Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket, Republicans will also lean heavily on racist and misogynistic rhetoric, and we can use these channels to counteract their bigotry and hatred.
We believe that messages that get the truth out about MAGA and Project 2025, made by real people, will be far more effective at turning out voters than spending millions of dollars on one generic TV ad that is blasted out indiscriminately and may influence only a tiny fraction of those who watch it.
MoveOn's team spent months researching and testing to ensure that every single piece of our election program was as strategic and impactful as possible, and we are confident that this work will propel us to victory.
We need to turn up the volume on all of our work right now to show that our movement is united in our support for Vice President Harris. Will you help build and sustain momentum by donating $5 a month, starting right now?
No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
Andra, this moment may feel unprecedented, but it is also an opportunity. An opportunity to reinvigorate voters. An opportunity for organizers, activists, and volunteers to recommit to the work. And an opportunity to craft a progressive vision for America's future championed by a new generation of leaders.
We're ready to hit the ground running. Join us.
No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn? The MAGA Supreme Court is on a rampage, from overturning Roe v. Wade to paving the way for a future president to take bribes, engage in a military coup, and prosecute his political rivals with impunity—and even outright order their assassinations. It's time to end the MAGA Supreme Court's corruption.
Will you start a monthly donation to power MoveOn's election plan and elect Democrats who will rein in the corrupt Supreme Court?
No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.
