Trump has been indicted four times this year.¹ After years of chaos, lies, and attempts to dismantle our democracy for his own gain, we are finally seeing accountability. But what is just as important as Trump being held accountable for all the crimes he has committed, is the American public being informed and protected from misinformation and lies. That's why it's critical that all of Trump's trials are televised.

Donald Trump and his cronies spread endless lies and misinformation following the 2020 election, which led to the deadly insurrection on January 6. Trump stopped at nothing to try to overturn the 2020 election results and overthrow our government. He is dangerous. He will keep lying to hold on to power, which is why it is important that we, the public, get the transparency that we deserve. Earlier this week, thanks to a Georgia judge, Americans across the country got a front-row seat into the Fulton County courtroom as Trump was indicted.

We need the same transparency in Trump's federal cases. Trump's criminal trials must be televised. Click here to add your name to the petition.

Donald Trump and his allies have continued to alert MAGA supporters and spread conspiracies about the criminal charges against Trump. Trump has claimed that these charges are politically motivated and that they are an abuse of power from the Biden administration.² And he's even fundraised millions of dollars off these claims and his indictments.³ Enough is enough.

The American people deserve the truth. In order to limit the spread of rumors and conspiracy theories, the court should allow for Trump's trials to be televised. We deserve to hear the facts directly from the sources. Will you sign the petition now?

Donald Trump has been charged by two grand juries for attempting to override the will of American voters and remain in power, when he knew he lost the election. We deserve transparency throughout his trials. Sign the petition to televise Trump's criminal trials!

Representative Adam Schiff and 37 congresspeople have sent a letter to the Judicial Conference—the body that establishes national policy for federal courts—urging for transparency in the Trump federal trials, starting with the trials' being televised. In the letter, Rep. Schiff states, "If the public is to fully accept the outcome, it will be vitally important for it to witness, as directly as possible, how the trials are conducted, the strength of the evidence adduced and the credibility of witnesses."⁴

In times like these, where conspiracy theories and election disinformation are at an all-time high, it's crucial that the public can witness the facts and evidence during these cases. And as we move closer to 2024, Trump will continue to politicize these trials and call on his supporters to spew hate and disinformation in order for him to gain power again in the 2024 election.

Donald Trump went to extreme lengths to overturn the 2020 election results to remain in power—from hatching a fake electors scheme to intimidating state election officials to inciting a violent insurrection. The court system can't allow him to continue to distort the truth. These trials will be historic—and it's clear that Donald Trump will do anything to escape these trials without full accountability.
