Dear MoveOn member,
"How Climate Change Turned Lush Hawai'i Into a Tinderbox."1 That was a New York Times headline just days after a wildfire in Lahaina killed at least 111 people.2
The dystopian headline came just days after the World Weather Attribution Initiative—a group of international scientists who study the climate crisis—described recent extreme weather events across the globe as a "heat hell" that would have been "virtually impossible" without climate change.3
To demand action on the climate crisis, MoveOn has printed a huge batch of these "Climate Action Now!" stickers—and we're giving them away for free.

In recent weeks, in addition to the devastating wildfire in Hawai'i, North America, Europe, and China saw devastating heat waves that destroyed crops and livestock, triggered wildfires, exacerbated water stress, and killed people across all three continents.4
Temperatures in Death Valley, California, reached 128 degrees.5
Phoenix, Arizona, experienced a record-smashing month of temperatures hotter than 110 degrees.6
According to climate scientists, if megacorporations hadn't heated the planet by burning massive amounts of oil, coal, and gas, these kinds of blistering heat waves would be rare.7
But as the fossil fuel industry continues to pollute our planet, it will only get hotter from here.
Unless we take bold action and move to clean renewable energy, like wind and solar power. Now.
Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Book bans have skyrocketed thanks to right-wing state laws which have forced teachers to remove books from their classrooms. In response, MoveOn is launching a "Banned Bookmobile," filling it with books that the far right has banned, and driving it around to hand out those books, for free, in highly trafficked areas that will attract media attention. To keep the Banned Bookmobile up and running into 2024, we need your help.
