Today is the U.S. Army's 248th birthday! That means, on this day, more than two centuries ago, America's first militia was officially created. What proceeded was two centuries and counting of endless bravery, honor and countless sacrifices — all of which continue to this day.
From some of the most pivotal historic events like D-Day to the current stationing of troops in Eastern Europe, America's bravest have always answered the call to protect our freedoms and keep us safe. Now, the least we can do is show them our gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

Our heroic service members put everything on the line to defend our nation. Ever since the American Revolution, members of our Army have served as the guardians of Americans and our values. We couldn't be more grateful, and we believe it's our patriotic duty to thank them for everything they do for us.
It may not seem like much, but your wish to celebrate our heroes today will go a long way to show how much folks back home value and appreciate their sacrifice. We need 24,800 proud military supporters like you to sign our card before the Army's birthday ends at midnight tonight — so don't wait another moment, show our troops how grateful you are!
