Dear MoveOn member,

Each June, we come together to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride, recognize our shared humanity, and honor the fierce, bold leaders who have led the charge to call for equality in the past and those who are trailblazers today.

But so much work remains. Every day in communities all across the country, LGBTQ+ people are targeted, harassed, humiliated, and worse—just for being true to themselves.

Congress has failed to secure basic rights and protections for LGBTQ+ people. And in 2021 alone, dozens of Republican-backed laws have been proposed in states across the country attacking people who are transgender and gender-nonconforming, with a particular and ugly focus on attacking trans kids.1

So as we honor this year's Pride celebrations, we must also keep up the fight for true liberation and against bigotry and hatred.

To commemorate Pride and share the message that the fight for equality continues, we've just printed a big batch of these "Equality for All" stickers, and we're giving them away for free—while supplies last.

The yearly commemoration of Pride began in the aftermath of the Stonewall Uprising in June of 1969, when the LGBTQ+ community in New York City—led by trans women of color, including Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera—fought back against brutal police raids of queer bars and laws designed to discriminate against the community.

In the decades since, the LGBTQ+ community in the United States has fought tirelessly for equality and achieved some monumental victories—but the work is far from done.

The road toward true equality is a long one, and there are steps we can take now to clear a pathway and support the LGBTQ+ community.

First, we can continue to fight back against the GOP's obstruction in Congress by eliminating the filibuster—a move which would open the door to passing bills like the Equality Act as well as crucial legislation to protect our democracy and the right to vote from Republican interference.

And we can fight at the ballot box as well by kicking bigoted, hateful Republican elected officials out of office and electing progressive leaders up and down the ballot who will fight for the rights of every American, put a stop to hateful bills attacking the trans community, and push our country forward.

MoveOn is dedicated to winning these battles and more, and you can show your support by clicking here, ordering your free "Equality for All" sticker today, and displaying it proudly on your laptop, bike, car, or window.

Happy Pride! And thanks for all you do.
