Even as scenes of Trump supporters rampaging through Congressional chambers and offices filled the TV screens, Trump refused to call on them to stand down and leave the building. It's just the latest brazen assault on our democracy stemming from Trump's refusal to accept his defeat in the 2020 election. Rep. Ilhan Omar and other progressives in Congress are now drawing up articles of impeachment.1 We need to speak up and urge Congress to act immediately. There's no time to lose.
