| Tell Trump Appointees: "Resign now, or be replaced with people who will put our country first." | Friend,
Joe Biden is poised to win the Presidency with the same number of Electoral College votes that Donald Trump received in 2016―and 5 million+ more actual votes. Yet Trump has refused to concede―and the Republican party is going along with him. Emily Murphy, Administrator of the General Services Administration, which manages government resources, is refusing to sign the order that acknowledges Biden's win, and allows him to begin setting up his Transition. This is generally a non-controversial order, signed when the winner becomes clear. Murphy is a Trump appointee―one of many sore losers throughout the government who will do everything in their power to obstruct normal processes and set up the Biden administration for failure. Every single Trump appointee should be considered tainted―nominated by a popular vote loser and confirmed due to their willingness to put party above country. Every Trump appointee at every level of our government must resign―and if they won't, they should be removed. If the administrator of the GSA―a rarely heard-from agency that manages government buildings and procurement―is so thoroughly corrupted, what can this say about the rest of Trump's appointments? It's not just the bureaucracy that will thwart Biden. Trump's greatest legacy is going along with Mitch McConnell's theft of the courts. After unprecedented obstruction during the Obama administration, almost 1 in 4 federal judges is now a Trump nominee. One third of the Supreme Court was nominated by Trump. Each of them is illegitimate. Our country is in crisis. With the coronavirus breaking records for new cases every day, we need the government to work―not fail. But the Trumpists have shown that if their leader can't run the country, they don't want anyone to. That's why they have to go. SIGN NOW: Trumpists in the government have got to go! Thanks, Mike Phelan Progress America |
