| Tell Congress: "We demand an investigation into Amazon warehouse workplace accidents and injuries." | Friend, Amazon workers shouldn't have to choose between earning a paycheck or their own health and safety. But year after year, workplace accidents at Amazon have done nothing but increase. While Jeff Bezos' personal wealth has exploded during the pandemic, more than 20,000 Amazon employees have tested positive for COVID. This is consistent with the general negligence with which Amazon treats its employees. Congress needs to step in and investigate what's really going on in Amazon warehouses. Sign the petition: Tell Congress to investigate Amazon workplace accidents and protect workers! Amazon executives will tell you that their warehouses are safe, efficient and above board, but that's not true. Investigating reporting from Reveal showed that internal Amazon documents acknowledge that serious warehouse workplace accidents have done nothing but increase in the last four years. And that's before the coronavirus pandemic transformed Amazon from a juggernaut to a Godzilla-sized juggernaut. No amount of convenient shipping is worth worker safety. But Amazon continues to push their workers without any care for health. Just like many other industry giants, if Amazon could be trusted to regulate itself, then they would have by now. But since they can't and won't Congress needs to step in and get to the bottom of this. Sign the petition: Tell Congress to investigate Amazon workplace accidents and protect workers!
