500,000 donations by Saturday's deadline

In order to have the financial resources to win this nomination, I am counting on lots of people making small donations.

Friends -

Following last night's debate, I want to be very clear:

The political establishment is going nuts trying to figure out how to stop us. We won the first three contests, and we have a chance to do very well in South Carolina and the 14 states that vote in the next week.

But if we're going to win this nomination, we have to stay incredibly disciplined. We are taking on the entire damn one percent of this country and the path forward will not be easy.

Saturday is an important FEC fundraising deadline, and we've set an ambitious goal of 500,000 donations this week. Every donation ensures we will have the resources required to win.

Can I count on you to add yours today?

Please make a $2.70 contribution to keep us on a path to win this nomination. Lots of donations is the only way we're funding this campaign.

One of the largest misconceptions about our campaign is that the ideas we're talking about are radical. They're not.

Health care is a human right. We must have the moral imperative to address the existential threat of climate change. We don't need more people in jail than any other country on earth. American workers must make a living wage. The wealthy must pay their fair share in taxes.

These are not radical ideas.

Our billionaire-funded opponents want to maintain the status quo. Our campaign is about transforming this country.

There are some very powerful special interests that will spend obscene amounts of money in the weeks ahead to try to defeat us. So we must be ready to take them on and win.

In order to have the financial resources to win this nomination, I am counting on lots of people making small donations. That is why I need to ask:

Can you make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign today? Please add yours if you can.

Let's go forward together. Let's win this primary. Let's defeat Donald Trump. And then let's transform this country when we are in the White House.

In solidarity,

Bernie Sanders
