I am writing to ask you to make a $2.70 contribution before our deadline ends at MIDNIGHT tonight. Give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.

Good news, bad news.

Some good news:

OUR campaign is funded by a record number of contributions made by people of all backgrounds and from all communities — almost all small donations in the pursuit of big change. None from health insurance or pharmaceutical executives.

Now, the bad news:

Last campaign, our average contribution was $27. You know that. This campaign, it's significantly less. About $16 in the last twenty four hours.

So while we've made progress toward our end-of-month fundraising goal, we're not there. And that means we need A LOT more contributions before midnight to close the gap with some of the folks at the center of the debate stage who rely on big-dollar fundraisers.

So we're asking:

Can Bernie count on you to make a $2.70 contribution to help us close the gap before our fundraising deadline ends at midnight?

You should be very proud of the way we are funding this campaign. Thanks for answering the call today. We can't wait to let Bernie know how strong we closed out this deadline.

In solidarity,

Faiz Shakir
