Five years ago, we lost our beloved baby girl, Jessi, during the devastating mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado.   The world we knew ended that day.   We had no choice but to start over and dedicate our lives to make sure this never happened to another family again.   So we took action -- something Congressional Republicans refuse to do.   That’s why we’re asking you to add your name next to ours to demand immediate gun reform >>   Just this week, we traveled to Las Vegas to meet with the families, victims and survivors of our country’s latest mass shooting. (The fact that we need to use the word “latest” should be devastating enough.)   Their anguish as they tried to come to grips with their “new normal” was an all too familiar feeling. We wouldn’t wish this kind of pain on our worst enemy.   Which is why it makes our blood boil to watch Republicans trivialize this issue and continue to bend to the will of their gun lobbyist friends.   Meanwhile, 93 Americans every single day pay the price for their inaction.   We cannot be silent any longer. We have to speak out for every life we know could be saved by meaningful gun reform. Will you sign on? >>   Jessi wasn’t the first precious life lost to preventable gun violence, and the worst part is, we know she won’t be the last.   That’s why we’re fighting every single day for real, meaningful solutions.   There’s no shortage of them: expanding background checks, banning bump stocks, keeping weapons out of the hands of the dangerously mentally ill.   These aren’t controversial solutions. But Republicans’ cowardice is the only thing standing in the way.   Too many lives have been lost to Republicans’ inaction.
