As a series of crises including conflict, disaster, the climate crisis and more threatens millions of children’s lives and futures, we just set an ambitious goal to raise $200,000 in the next 48 hours to support them. This is so important that a generous group of donors has donated to a matching gift fund to inspire more donors like you to support our mission, and every dollar you donate will unlock a dollar from this pool.
In Gaza, the humanitarian crisis is worsening by the day with horrendous consequences for children, including those who aren’t even born yet. Some 5,500 pregnant women are due to give birth there in the coming month. This means that thousands of children are about to begin their lives desperately struggling to survive in an active war zone.
In Afghanistan, children were already facing an economic crisis and widespread hunger. Now, a series of devastating earthquakes has killed more than 3,000 people and left thousands more without shelter as winter approaches. An estimated 2 in 3 people across the country need humanitarian support.
The climate crisis is contributing to hotter and drier conditions across the Horn of Africa, a region that is experiencing one of the worst droughts in recent history. One of the most affected countries is Somalia, where a staggering 70% of the population is undernourished and in urgent need of food assistance.
Thank you for all you do to support the world’s children, especially now.
