Tucker Carlson might be out at Fox News, but if you're counting on the network to suddenly start telling the truth, don't hold your breath.

As long as there's money to be made by selling lies, weaponizing Donald Trump's viciousness, and peddling conspiracies, Fox News will continue to do it.

That's really what this is all about: money.

Fox News will do whatever is necessary to keep the money flowing in its direction. Be warned.

Profiting off of dangerous lies has become a big business in America. It's one of the core challenges to the future of democracy.

That's why I'm writing to you today to ask you to demand that corporate advertisers and cable companies stop funding Fox's lies. My friends at MoveOn are ratcheting up their stellar organizing and campaigning to pressure these companies to stop funding Fox's dangerous lies—and now is the best opportunity we've had in years to do real damage to Fox's bottom line and business model.

I'm kindly asking you, Andra: Will you chip in $3 to MoveOn now to fuel their powerful campaign to defund Fox?

Did you know that if you pay for cable, you're probably forced to pay about $2 a month to Fox News, even if you boycott the channel?¹ That's because Fox News charges cable and satellite companies a fixed amount per subscriber, and these companies pass that charge on to you. These fees are responsible for $1.3 billion of Fox's revenue and are a massive part of its profitability.²

According to Fox, the company is beginning to renew these agreements with cable companies—and trying to increase the monthly rate to $3 per subscriber.³

At the same time, major corporations like AT&T, General Motors, and Subway continue to advertise on Fox.

Andra, it is utterly unacceptable that corporations like AT&T, General Motors, Subway, and Comcast are bankrolling these despicable attacks on our democracy, our families, and our freedoms.

And right now, with Fox up against the ropes, it is time to strike while the iron is hot and cut off critical sources of Fox's revenue.

I'm so impressed by MoveOn's campaign to pressure the corporations supporting Fox to stop undermining our democracy. But as a grassroots organization, MoveOn's resources come from people like you and me.
