Friend, today is International Day of Education, and we're so thankful for supporters like you who are committed to helping the world's children grow up healthy, educated and safe.
Your generosity helps children like 11-year-old Jemima overcome unimaginable hardships. She and her family fled conflict in Cameroon, risking a dangerous journey to find safety in Nigeria. Through the generosity of supporters like you, we've helped Jemima and thousands of other refugee children from Cameroon enroll in a Save the Children-supported primary school so they can continue their education.
As we celebrate every child's right to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams on this important day, we cannot forget the barriers so many still face. Girls are twice as likely as boys to be kept out of school, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted an entire generation of children's education and across the U.S., poverty limits access to learning for many rural children.
