Election Day is just nine days away -- and while we always knew it'd come down to the wire, the latest polls out of Virginia are too close for comfort. It's a dead heat between Terry McAuliffe and Trump-backed Republican Glenn Youngkin in a must-win state for Democrats.
This year's elections are a reflection on our party's momentum, and if we want to head into 2022 with the wind at our backs, we can't afford to lose next week. It won't be easy, but I've seen what this grassroots team can do when we're up against the ropes. So I'm asking:
Will you make a $7 donation to the Finish Line Fund today so that the DNC has the resources we need to get out the vote in this final stretch and expand the map for Democrats nationwide?
With all that's at stake, the DNC is investing time, money, and people to make sure that Democrats keep Virginia and New Jersey blue and set the right tone for the midterms. Here are some of the toplines:
- Scaling the coordinated campaign staff to organize in all corners of the commonwealth as a part of the DNC's biggest investment in Virginia's history.
-
Expanding voter education and turnout efforts for voters of color across New Jersey, including multi-lingual outreach to mobilize the Garden State's growing Spanish-speaking and AAPI populations.
-
Mobilizing thousands of national volunteers who took part in the 2020 election to support the New Jersey and Virginia campaigns through volunteer recruitment, voter education, and get out the vote efforts.
-
Leading a robust voter protection effort to expand access to early vote and protect the vote, including polling place lookup tools, access to our national voter protection hotline, and a database for incident tracking and monitoring.
We can't leave any stone unturned, so we're relying on this grassroots team to help ramp up these programs as we head into the final days of the election.
Make a $7 donation to the Finish Line Fund today to secure states like Virginia and New Jersey for Democrats now and in the future.
Thanks for stepping up when it matters most,
Jaime
