Donald Trump's new postmaster general, Louis DeJoy, has given millions to Trump and the GOP since 2016. Now, DeJoy is introducing dangerous, anti-voter changes that could sabotage Americans' right to vote by mail this year. Already, we've seen late deliveries, reduced work hours, and even warnings that the USPS might not be able to deliver ballots in time. Trump has repeatedly attacked the USPS, and now, his man on the inside is doing his bidding for him. We need to speak out to protect this vital public service. Our democracy depends on a strong Postal Service -- we need it for secure mail-in voting and for the 2020 Census. We can't let Trump, DeJoy, or anyone else threaten the USPS or our right to vote by mail. Tell Congress to protect the USPS by passing a COVID-19 relief bill with $25 billion in Postal Service funding, and investigating DeJoy's anti-voter changes. Common Cause |
