We know from experience that grassroots organizing, door-to-door block walking, and direct voter engagement is the best way to bring people into the process.
That's how Beto won long shot races in the past. That's how he won more votes than any Democrat in Texas history in 2018. That's how we just broke the state record for voter turnout in a special election runoff. And that's how we're going to flip Texas in 2020.
We also know that grassroots organizing at such a scale requires a lot of resources. It's not easy work — but it's necessary. And we're up against our first fundraising deadline of the year tonight at midnight. So, we're asking you:
For those who just recently started to get involved — or who haven't heard from us yet — Powered by People's mission is to organize grassroots volunteers to do the tough, necessary work that wins elections.
We'll register voters (especially those who are just turning 18), knock on doors, make phone calls, and build the grassroots power necessary to make progress on the issues we all care most about.
If we are successful, we will not only win the important races in 2020, we will also develop the infrastructure to ensure that we have sustainable majorities in Texas and nationwide into the foreseeable future.
This is a big undertaking — no question about it. But we've seen first-hand the incredible things we're capable of when we work together.
