I'm running to defeat Republican Senator Susan Collins, and I want to tell you exactly why:
| Friend,
I'm running to defeat Republican Senator Susan Collins in Maine, and I need to ask you to chip in $1 to help me win. But first, let me explain exactly why I got into this competitive race.
Over 20 years ago, Susan Collins was elected to represent Maine families in the United States Senate. But frankly, she doesn't seem like the same person anymore. She has voted to help Mitch McConnell pass his obstructionist, far-right agenda 94% of the time.
And one year ago tomorrow, Susan Collins sided with Mitch McConnell again with her decision to help put Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court for life -- which has put women's control over their own health care decisions in extreme jeopardy.
I refuse to sit back and continue watching Susan Collins cave to Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump, but I need your help to win.
Will you split a $1 donation between my campaign and the DSCC? Every contribution will help us defeat Susan Collins, flip the Senate, and protect the future of the Supreme Court.
Here's why joining this fight right now is so incredibly important: While Collins' vote to confirm Kavanaugh jump-started a grassroots movement to kick her out of office, it also earned her the support of special interest donors who are ready to pour millions into her re-election campaign.
Polling shows that our campaign has momentum, but thanks to astronomical amounts of outside spending, this is projected to be the most expensive Senate race in state history.
Simply put, I need this grassroots community to step up and help my campaign fight back if we're going to beat Susan Collins and take back the Senate. I truly can't do it without you, so please split a $1 donation between my campaign and the DSCC now.
Thanks for being a part of this fight,
Sara Gideon U.S. Senate candidate, Maine
