Will you sign your name and demand Republicans take action on meaningful gun violence prevention?

Six and a half years ago, I was shot.   I was meeting constituents with my then-boss Gabby Giffords when a gunman opened fire and changed my life and others' forever.   It’s not something you ever truly get over. And every time there’s another mass shooting, the memories from that day wash over me all over again.   That’s what happened last week after the massacre in Las Vegas.   I don’t want another person to ever experience what I did.   Will you sign your name and demand Republicans take action on meaningful gun violence prevention?   The Republicans’ inaction on gun reform is stunning to me.   How can our elected leaders continue to let this happen?   How can Congressional Republicans leave for recess a day early without taking any action on reforms like bump stocks and expanded background checks?   I became an advocate of gun reform because survivors and victims of gun violence, like the six people in Tucson who were murdered and the thirteen who will forever carry their emotional and physical wounds, deserve to be heard.   We can’t let this continue. Thoughts and prayers are not enough! We must demand congressional action.   Please, will you join me and ask that Congress takes action to pass gun safety laws?
