Dear MoveOn member,
November is feeling a bit different this year. The air feels cool and crisp. We're walking with a spring in our step.
It's not just fall—we're feeling the fall of fascism in the air!
It's been a minute since we've felt this much joy after Election Day, and it's not just that we had a sweeping blue wave. It's that voters gave a big f*** you to Donald Trump's march to fascism.
We want to keep this feeling going! Click here to get your free "My Favorite Season Is the Fall of Fascism" sticker to show off your commitment to stopping Trump's authoritarianism and building a future where everyone can thrive.

Even though the elections on Tuesday night were for state- and municipal-level office, Trump loomed large at the ballot box.
In New Jersey and Virginia, more than 50% of voters said that Trump was a factor in how they voted.1
And wow, did they vote!
Across the country, municipal elections broke turnout records. In New York, where rock star candidate Zohran Mamdani won the mayoral race, more than 2 million voters got to the polls—more than any mayoral race since 1969.2 Minneapolis reached a 55% turnout in an off-year election. Virginia as a whole had a record high turnout for early voting.3,4
Here's just a snapshot of what happened Tuesday night:
- We won statewide races in New Jersey and Virginia, and all but five Virginia counties shifted blue over 2024 levels.5
- Mississippi Democrats broke the supermajority in the state Senate.6
- Democrats won every open seat in ruby-red Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and the Pittsburgh Republican mayor lost to a Democrat.7
- Democrats in Georgia won statewide offices for the first time since 2006.8
Now, before we get too wrapped up in celebrating, we have to remember—we're dealing with Trump.
This is not a democracy-minded president who will see this blue wave as a reason to shift course. This is a fascist who is going to double down on his theft of our government.
He has already given marching orders to the Republicans in Congress, posting,
"Pass Voter Reform, Voter ID, No Mail-In Ballots. Save our Supreme Court from 'Packing,' No Two State addition, etc. TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER!!!"9
That's why we can't take this week's wins as anything more than what we are doing is working—but there is much more work to be done.
We're just getting started, and we want to spread the word. Get your "My Favorite Season Is the Fall of Fascism" sticker for your water bottle, laptop, and anywhere else other people can see it today!
Thanks for all you do.
