Yesterday, Mr. Project 2025 himself, Russ Vought, and Donald Trump announced they're killing 200+ job creating clean energy projects, and wiping out $7.5B in cost-saving grid upgrades in CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OR, VT and WA. Notice anything in common with the states they chose to cancel projects in?
The reality is Trump told us exactly who he would target in the event of a shutdown, saying, "A lot of good can come down from shutdowns, we can get rid of a lot of things that we didn't want, and they'd be Democrat things."
Republicans are using the shutdown to unilaterally push through their unpopular, cost-raising policies. Meanwhile, they continue to blame Democrats for the shutdown they caused.
With control of the Oval Office, House, and Senate, they must take responsibility for the shutdown they caused and return to the negotiation table. Add your name to demand immediate action to end the shutdown.
This is just one brazen example of what Trump and Republicans are willing to do while Democrats fight to make life more affordable for everyday Americans.
And it's not just rising costs and political games at the highest level that Americans will suffer through. Trump's reckless cuts have already dismantled disaster relief, gutted weather forecasting, and delayed critical aid. Trump's shutdown now pushes already understaffed agencies like FEMA and NOAA past the breaking point, leaving families at risk in the middle of hurricane and fire season.
