imploring you
Did you see Beto's note?
Our people-powered movement to elect Beto needs to step up today.
Our February end-of-month deadline is at midnight, and we're still projected to fall 7% short of our must-hit fundraising goal. Will you chip in before tonight's deadline to help defeat Greg Abbott?
Millions of Texas voters will go to the polls tomorrow and see Beto O'Rourke and Greg Abbott on their primary election ballots. What we raise before midnight tonight will directly impact the last-minute investments we can make to ensure a huge turnout for Beto.
The pressure is on — the media, our supporters, and our opponents will be looking to see if we fall short of expectations. We've exceeded expectations before, and I know we can do it again tomorrow.
Thank you,
Nick Rathod

Subject: We've begun to close the gap
I've been on the road every day this month making the case and pressing our advantage.
Whether it's prosecuting Abbott for his corruption and incompetence that killed hundreds and raised electricity rates for every Texas household (the "Abbott Tax") during his grid failure, or sharing our vision for Texas (great jobs, world-class schools, affordable health care), we are making the case to the voters of this state.
From the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas where we were just rallying voters during the only weekend of primary early voting to every other region of the state, big city and small town alike, we are out there connecting with the people who have the power to win this race with us.
And it's not just me out there. More than 49,000 people have signed up to volunteer for this campaign and we are putting them to work.
Over the month of February alone we've called, texted, and knocked on the doors of more than 3 million Texas voters. And without spending a dime yet on TV advertising, we've begun to close the gap with Abbott in major public polls.
We've also received more than 200,000 contributions to the campaign, keeping us close to even with the incumbent on our rate of fundraising even though we have a much lower average contribution.
This is a great position for us to be in with eight months to go. As we demonstrate success in volunteer sign-ups, donations, and turnout at our events, we are giving people hope and showing that we can win. That encourages even more people to sign up, donate, and turn out.
But it's about to get a lot tougher.
We are going to be hit hard by Abbott as he attempts to slow our momentum now that we're entering the general election fight. There will be a barrage of the same disinformation and lies (about socialism and open borders for example) that you've heard before, only with a lot more money behind the attacks.
I just need to be able to fight back so that I can keep connecting with the people who are going to provide the margin of victory in this election. They need to hear how Abbott has failed them and how I will deliver for them.
Thank you for your help and support. I promise you that I will make the most of it.

SIGN: Solidarity with Ukraine
Join the growing global movement to support the Ukrainian people, and ensure our lawmakers know that we demand a diplomatic solution.
Dear Andra,
As Trump celebrates Vladmir Putin and Republicans in the U.S. fail to denounce Putin's escalating aggression1, the people of Ukraine are bearing the brunt of these attacks. Shelling and street violence in Ukraine's biggest cities is killing people and destroying civilian infrastructure.2 More than 500,000 people have fled the country as refugees, and there are thousands more trying to leave behind them.3
Sign now to show solidarity with the Ukrainian people and support peace over war and destruction.
The response from the international community has been resounding—the U.S. has imposed sanctions, Germany cancelled a major Russian pipeline, rallies of solidarity have occurred across the globe, and protesters, including thousands in Russia, have pressured lawmakers to deescalate Putin's war.4, 5

Dear MoveOn member,
Ukrainian children and families woke up yesterday to sounds of explosions, as Vladimir Putin launched a ruthless, unnecessary, deadly attack—the opening foray of what is fast becoming a devastating war.
We are in solidarity with the people of Ukraine in the face of Russia's choice to launch an aggressive war. We commit to international efforts to end the war, promote peace and diplomacy, and support the Ukrainian people.
Ukraine is a democracy that elects its own leaders—yet Russia's Vladimir Putin is now threatening the safety, democracy, and freedom of the Ukrainian people.
Putin's decision to go to war in Ukraine was his own choice—and he has been using disinformation to lay the groundwork for this aggression.6 It will have devastating effects on the Ukrainian people, the Russian people, and, potentially, the global community and economy. War is never the answer, and it is wrong for citizens to bear the cost of Putin's power grab.
While the U.S. government and international allies pursued diplomatic efforts to prevent Russia's aggression, Putin has now launched attacks that will lead to death and destruction and jeopardize Ukraine's autonomy.
The U.S. needs to work with international allies to hold Putin accountable, bring this conflict to an end, and support the Ukrainian people. We need to ensure we invest in and prepare for yet another refugee crisis. And we need to make sure that no U.S. military action takes place without congressional approval and only after all other diplomatic options are exhausted.
In the days ahead, we'll find more direct ways to support the immediate needs of Ukrainians suffering from this war, to advocate for a swift and reasonable end to this conflict, and to hold right-wing politicians in our own country accountable for justifying Putin's war of aggression and disinformation. But for now, we start with solidarity with the people whose country has turned into a war zone overnight and who need to hear the global community is with them.

Thanks for all you do.

Your assignment in Briscoe County
In the last Democratic primary for a Texas gubernatorial election, turnout in Briscoe County was 2.43%.
We can do better than that. Your assignment in Briscoe County — as part of our historic 254-County Mobilization Plan — is to help boost that turnout rate before polls close tomorrow.
We need a strong showing behind Beto in the primary so voters, journalists, and our allies can see that we have the momentum to defeat Greg Abbott in November. Plus, there are other important state and local races on the ballot.
A donation today will help support our Election Day efforts to text, call, and even knock doors in Briscoe County tomorrow to ensure voters have what they need to make their voice heard. Think of this as a critical trial run for our get-out-the-vote operation in November.

We'll say it again: No Texas county is too small, too rural, or too anything for us to show up and mobilize voters. Not with so much on the line.
Let's do this,
