ICE refuses to identify themselves

They're operating in the shadows

Pamela - we've seen the images and videos from across the country. In dozens of cities, ICE agents are documented detaining immigrants while concealing their identities: wearing masks, refusing to identify themselves and ignoring due process as a whole. This is unacceptable. ICE agents must stop hiding behind masks and anonymous uniforms. We don't know who these people are or where they're from. For all we know, they could be any Bob or Joe and not actual agents. Congress has an opportunity to step in here. Three pieces of legislation have already been introduced to stop ICE: The VISIBLE Act → prohibits ICE agents from concealing their identities during enforcement actions. The No Masks for ICE Act → bans ICE officers from wearing face coverings that obscure their identities while performing enforcement duties. The No Secret Police Act → closes loopholes that allow federal agencies to act as unaccountable secret police, shielding them from public scrutiny. These three pieces of legislation are critical to reigning in ICE. Their lawlessness and disrespect for norms must be stopped.
