Our democracy works best when we stay informed and engaged. Join us TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 25, from 1–2 PM ET for our June Democracy Seminar with the Stronger Miami campaign!
Pamela, right now, communities across Florida are standing up for our democracy, and you're invited to hear directly from community groups who are working to build a better democracy in the City of Miami.
We're inviting you to join us for this month's Common Cause Florida Democracy Seminar with the Stronger Miami campaign on Wednesday, June 25, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET, a virtual event you won't want to miss.
The Stronger Miami campaign is working to end corruption and backroom politics, because it is time to build a city commission that represents all Miamians.
Stronger Miami is gathering petition signatures to put a charter amendment on the ballot that would:
Expand the City Commission from 5 to 9 seats, ensuring more neighborhoods are heard and represented.
Establish fair redistricting standards, so districts serve communities, not special interests.
Align city elections with state and national elections, boosting voter participation and reducing costs.
This is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with others who are passionate about building more representative and inclusive democratic systems.
Register and join us in the conversation. Together, we'll make sure every Floridian's voice is heard and our democracy stays strong.
We hope to see you there!
