As wages continue to stagnate and the cost of living gets higher, Republicans are fighting to make our lives even harder. The latest attack comes in the form of the National Right to Work Act, which would decimate union power nationally. The Republicans pushing this bill are doing it despite popular opinion; unions are more popular than they've been since the mid-1960s.
That's why robber barons are scared and are even resorting to dirty tricks. The name "Right to Work" might sound good, but it's purposefully misleading. This legislation is designed to weaken union membership and drive profit at the expense of regular people. In fact, workers in the 28 states that live under "right to work" laws deal with lower wages, less benefits, and higher workplace fatality rates, and now Republicans in Congress want all of us to suffer the same fate.
Workers and their unions deserve dignity and respect. Sign on to FIGHT Republican anti-union legislation!
Unions protect us all, not just their members. Unions have historically raised wages for all workers by forcing employers to pay more to compete in the labor market. With corporate greed continuing to drive inflation and rent prices ever-rising, it's crucial that we fight for higher wages and more power for workers. Instead, Republicans in Congress are trying to depress wages and make it even harder for regular people to make a living. We can't let them get away with this.
Take action now and tell Congress: REJECT the National Right to Work Act to support workers and unions!
Without workers, the economy would collapse. We must stand together and demand the respect we deserve.
In solidarity,
Mike Phelan
