Pamela — Elon Musk has raked in BILLIONS in government contracts, then poured a chunk of those profits into his own personal MAGA super-PAC with the singular goal of handing Donald Trump back the presidency.
With that bet paid off, he's making another, by committing $100 million to Trump's political operation.[1]
As Elon writes his checks, a scandal is emerging. Powerful members of Congress, including Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Representative Gregory W. Meeks and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Intelligence Jared Moskowitz are demanding to know if the Trump administration backdated documents to make it look like a deal to spend $400 million in taxpayer money on armored Tesla Cybertrucks started under Biden.[2]
If true, this would be a blatant attempt to cover up a corrupt scheme designed to funnel money straight into Musk's pockets — and we refuse to sit idly by and allow it to continue.
So far, the State Department has refused to provide clear answers. That's why we're sending lawmakers a message tens of thousands of people strong today. Our pressure can urge them to act immediately to audit Musk's dealings and prevent him from using his White House connections for personal gain.
Tell lawmakers: Investigate Elon Musk and end taxpayer-funded corruption!
| ACT NOW |
It's outrageous that Trump has given Musk, an unelected, unvetted, unconfirmed billionaire, an unprecedented and unconstitutional amount of power.
He's using it to gut the federal government as we know it. This week, that means sending USAID, the Department of Education, Social Security and more, into his 'woodchipper'.
Musk's companies currently receive BILLIONS in public money — and he uses his profits to buy influence to promote authoritarian leaders and destroy essential government programs. We cannot allow our tax dollars to fuel his self-serving empire.
The Tesla Cybertruck deal is just one example of the dangerous corruption at play. But from private "businessmen" like notorious Blackwater founder Erik Prince to public officials like former Senator Menendez, Win Without War has never been afraid of making enemies in high places.
Pamela, this is a five-alarm fire ― and as litigation makes its way through the courts to keep federal workers employed and block USAID or the Department of Education from being shut down, our job is to keep up the pressure on lawmakers to hold this White House and any bad actors accountable.
We deserve a full accounting of how the Tesla Cybertruck contract was developed, who approved it, and whether there was ANY attempt to mislead the public.
For years, our team has been laying the groundwork to stop the corrupt war machine that's allowed weapons contractors to capitalize on global conflict and keep their profits flowing. The trillions we've spent on weapons systems over the past decade could have paid to cure cancer, combat the climate crisis, or solve homelessness, but they didn't.
What they did do is help make a few people like Elon Musk incredibly rich — and right now, he's using that influence also working 24/7 to tear our democracy apart.
We can't promise that we can stop the hostile gutting of our government fast enough to avoid the harm. What can we guarantee? The situation won't change if organizations like ours, and people like you, sit on the sidelines.
Thank you for working for peace,
The Win Without War team
