We have some good news to share, but first, let's get you caught up:
FIRST: We got a report that folks have seen their energy bills increase since Donald Trump took office -- some even seeing $100 surcharges on their utility bills as a direct result of the Trump administration's actions.
THEN: We got to work. We reached out to Americans to find out what they're seeing on their bills. And worked to get this news out far and wide resulting in repeated calls to the Alabama governor and eventually calls to the White House.
NOW: Those surcharges have been reversed! The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs has resumed the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, lowering energy bills for thousands of Alabamans.
We could never have produced this kind of outcry without you. And we should all take a moment to celebrate the fact that these Alabama residents are getting the relief they need.
