| Tell President Biden: Democratic appointees now make up a majority of the USPS Board of Governors. Send them a clear signal: Louis DeJoy's campaign of sabotage must end. It's time to fire Louis DeJoy! | Pamela, On Friday afternoon, the Biden administration took a long-overdue step by firing Trump's hand-picked Social Security commissioner, Andrew Saul, for (among other reasons) "taking actions that run contrary to the mission of the agency and the President's policy agenda." Commissioner Saul was called 'the Louis DeJoy of Social Security,' because Saul brought the same zeal towards undermining Social Security that DeJoy brings to undermining the USPS. With Saul out the door, it's time to fire Louis DeJoy next. Democratic appointees now make up a majority of the USPS Board of Governors. President Biden needs to send them a clear signal: Louis DeJoy's campaign of sabotage must end. It's time to fire Louis DeJoy! Louis DeJoy's primary qualification for the job of Postmaster General came from his time running a logistics corporation―a tenure that is now under FBI investigation for illegal campaign donations.[1] Trump installed DeJoy as Postmaster General specifically to slow down mail ballots ahead of the 2020 election, hoping to swing the election to Trump. It didn't work, so now DeJoy's planning to bring the entire USPS down. He wants to charge higher prices for worse mail service, and sell off parts of postal infrastructure to private shippers. Those actions run contrary to the mission of the USPS, and President Biden's policy agenda. We need a Postmaster General who will bring the USPS into the 21st century with expanded services like postal banking, not one who will strip a cherished institution for parts. Tell President Biden: It's time for Louis DeJoy to go.
