We're just one week away from Christmas. Gifts are being wrapped, to-do lists are being checked off and families everywhere are preparing for the warmth of the season.
Yet hundreds of thousands of our heroes in uniform won't be home to enjoy the magic of Christmas morning with those they love. Instead, they'll be in remote locations, putting their lives on the line in defense of our nation and sacrificing time with loved ones.
"To get a care package is hope," says one U.S. Air Force veteran. "When I used to get USO Care Packages when I was deployed, it brought us happiness; it showed us people cared."
