Trump is waging a battle against states who pass AI safety laws. Despite the enormous dangers of AI, the White House wants to give Big Tech corporations and wealthy CEOs free rein to develop AI and maximize their profits, no matter the disastrous consequences.
After Trump backed a bill that would undermine state-level AI regulations, the White House drafted an executive order that would weaponize the DOJ to sue states who pass AI safety laws aimed at protecting kids, consumers, the financial system, and so much more.
