Pamela, TODAY is Election Day for many towns and cities across Florida, and the Common Cause Florida team hopes you are as excited about democracy as we are!
Check your county Supervisor of Elections website to see if your town has local elections today and to find out what is on the ballot. Polls close at 7pm today – so now's the time to make a plan if you haven't voted already.
Local elections make a huge difference in our everyday lives. So, I want you to know that Common Cause Florida and our partners are working across the state to protect voters' rights and ensure every eligible Floridian has access to cast their ballot.
Here's what you need to know to successfully vote today:
Polls are open from 7am - 7pm local time. If you are in line by 7pm, you are still able to vote.
Bring a photo ID and be sure to go to the polling place assigned to your current residence. Find your assigned polling place here.
If you have any last-minute questions or issues, call the nonpartisan Election Protection Hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE.
Your vote-by-mail ballot must be received by your county Supervisor of Elections by 7pm today to be counted. If you have not yet returned your vote-by-mail ballot, drop it off ASAP at the Supervisor of Elections office in your county. Visit your county Supervisor of Elections website for office locations.
Make sure your voice and your community's voice is heard today! If you can, please help by forwarding this email to three friends or family members, and encourage them to vote today.
Thank you for being a voice for democracy,
Franceska Edouard, Organizer
and the team at Common Cause Florida
