Pamela,   Everyone facing deportation and its devastating consequences needs access to legal representation, regardless of whether they can afford it. But with the Trump administration's escalation of its mass deportation agenda and cuts to funding for legal services programs, the work of ensuring due process for immigrants is getting harder.  That's why we're gathering messages of gratitude for the legal service providers and advocates who work tirelessly to defend fairness and justice for immigrants.  Will you take a moment to add your own note of support? No one should have to face court proceedings in a language they cannot understand without someone to help them defend their rights.  Yet the reality is that this happens every day in immigration courts across the United States. More than half of those with pending cases are navigating their deportation proceedings alone—that's two million people.  Vera's SAFE Network is a partnership of legal service providers, advocates, and local governments working to expand access to deportation defense.
