Hello, it’s Congressman John Mannion.
We are not even 6 months into the second Trump Administration, and they are already arresting and assaulting Democratic legislators to quell dissent. We saw this with my colleague Representative LaMonica McIver and just recently with my friend, Senator Alex Padilla.
I am not going to sit by and let the country I love, and the country so many have fought for, fall to the tyranny of Trumpism.
So I spoke out. I told cowardly Republicans in Congress to stand up for our republic, which is teetering on the edge of authoritarianism. Republicans told me to “f*ck off.”
Needless to say, I will not be doing that, and I will not stop fighting for our democracy.
I care too much to stay silent. And I know you do too. House Republicans are too scared to stand up to Trump, and too self-important to realize the incredible danger he poses to the American people.
We need to defeat them.
If we are going to do it, Democrats need the help of grassroots supporters like you. House Democrats can spearhead the fight, but we cannot do it alone. Can you chip in $4 to the DCCC today to help beat back GOP authoritarianism and flip the House?
