Hi Pamela --
Last night, Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee dropped bill text for the Republican budget, and it's absurd.
Their proposal will send utility bills through the roof, ship hundreds of thousands of clean energy jobs to China, and create an American energy shortage when demand is higher than ever and growing. They'll create an energy crisis and slash critical programs like Medicaid and SNAP just to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
The bill will head to the Senate floor soon. They want to pass it before the end of next week. So, we need your help to direct as many calls as possible to senators' offices to make our voices heard loud and clear.
Can I count on you to make a quick phone call to your senator today? Each call makes a huge impact in putting on the pressure to stand up for our future. Just fill out our quick form to get a call connecting you to one of your senators' offices. You'll also see a script to help you as you make your call.
Already, more than 91,600 good-paying clean energy jobs have been lost or threatened thanks to attacks from Trump and his cronies in Congress. But, there are nearly 400,000 more clean energy jobs at stake if the Senate takes a sledgehammer to clean energy investments.
Pamela, I've seen firsthand the kind of impact we can have when constituents pick up the phone and call on their senators to take action.
Nothing is set in stone -- yet. With your help, we can push for changes to prevent the worst, most damaging parts of this bill from passing. Please take a minute to make a very quick call to your senators and demand they block these attacks on our future.
Senators still have a chance to choose -- to keep costs lower for American families and protect jobs over the interests of their billionaire donors. If not, there is no doubt their constituents will remember.
Thank you for picking up the phone,
Lori
