This Republican tax scam isn't just bad policy—it's a deliberate attack on working families, children, and vulnerable communities across America. Here are FIVE actions you can take right now to fight back against the Republican tax scam:
1. Call your senator at 888-966-9224: This bill is in the Senate right now. If you have a Republican senator, share your story about Medicaid or SNAP. Demand safety and services for your neighbors. If you have a Democratic senator, you can still call them to thank them for holding the line firm against this detrimental bill.
2. Send a letter to your senator: Use our template to send a letter to your senator about how important it is to reject lifesaving cuts to Medicaid and SNAP.
3. Conduct a drop-in visit at your local senator's office: Here's an easy how-to guide to help you make a plan to stop by their offices and advocate against this bill and these cuts.
4. Talk and share information about the bill on social media: Make posts about why you're fighting against this outrageous bill and tag your senators. We've made it easy with sample graphics and posts.
5. Sign and share the funding fight petition: Add your name to show that our strength is in numbers.
We know this fight won't be easy—but we've been here before, and we've won when we come together. The same grassroots energy that stopped Trump's attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act can stop this.
What America needs right now is investment in essential services that work for our communities. What we don't need: even more tax breaks for the ultra wealthy, like Elon Musk. Instead, we need policies that feed families, protect health care and fund education, and ensure everyone—no matter their income—can live with dignity and security.
